Car Doesn’t Shine Enough? Time For Chrome
Posted on March 10th, 2010 No commentsEveryone knows that the US experienced a Baby Boom like no other in its history. It paralleled a roaring economy and spurred a desire to live life to its fullest after years of worry and fear.
Like the surging economy the car industry’s tide was exceptionally high. Manufacturers added manufacturing as fast they could to meet this new demand from post-war consumers and an expanding middle class. With new drivers growing in number so did the competition for their dollars. To feed this desire for new designs technology and style were merged - a sign of customers’ changing wants and hunger for status.
The cars of the 50s where marked with chrome, chrome and more chrome. It was reflected in grill work of chrome that wouldn’t quit, gleaming chrome center caps or bold tail fins of chrome, there appeared to be no end for this bright gleaming metal. The more, the better.
To this day car fanatics are attracted to this reflective metal like moths to a flame. And why shouldn’t they be? With resistance to corrosion, the ability to tint it and a strong visual appeal - sorta like diamonds, sparkles and blinking lights… just more manly.
Using electroplating almost every car part can be covered with chrome. Aftermarket rims and rim center caps are common ways to step up the looks of your car, too.
Chrome plating comes in various thickness levels, so look at the specs to get an idea of what wear resistance one can reasonably expect. If it’s not listed, ask the dealer. A better idea is to ask the manufacturer. It should go without saying that you should do your research before putting down your money. No one wants to experience “rim remorse” - especially if it set you back a paycheck or two.
With the help available on the web, finding parts can be done by either the manufacturer’s part number or the Hollander id. Another option is to enlist a locator service to find the chrome lug nuts, chrome wheel center cap sets, chrome rims and other chrome parts that can transform your ride from blah to blingin’!

Increase Free Traffic
Posted on March 9th, 2010 No commentsLinks are considered one of the best ways to increase free traffic. The efforts to increase free traffic are closely related to search engine positioning and page ranks. These three elements go hand in hand: each attracts the others. Here are a few things you can do to improve the relevance and the amount of traffic.
Search engine optimization depends on keywords choice and their richness. You can increase free traffic with high relevancy if you use the keywords that best match your product while also anticipating the web visitor’s needs. You have to think like the web surfer, be like the web surfer, behave like the web surfer to make the right business decisions for product promotion.
Website content speaks of who you are! If you cram ten different topics on a single page, the result is overwhelming and confusing. Each keyword for a page will be a lot more rewarding. Keep it as simple as possible, because nobody wants to see how intricately complex you’ve managed to design the website. The web surfer uses your page for a very practical purpose, and you have to provide what he/she needs. This is the only thing that truly matters here.
Increase free traffic using a resource page of links. Links enhance the popularity level and help people navigate between websites for more efficiency. Do you know that Google and all the other search engines use the number of links as one of the major criteria for giving the page ranking? Google cannot read the information you provide, it just analyzes popularity and relevancy. This is a clear indicator of whether your page is worthy of good rankings or not.
Improve link exchanges by following some of the tips and recommendations that you find online. You will thus understand how links attract traffic, which type of links are better and what sites you should collaborate with. Your entire business Internet activity may depend on link building. Be knowledgeable and try to improve your online business presence as much as possible. Even details matter.
Traffic Excange sites are at times the best source for good traffic. One such traffic exchange site is www.tweet.bz. Not only is this site a great traffic exchange but it works with wordpress and twitter.

BBQ Gas Grills
Posted on March 9th, 2010 No commentsSteaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, pork chops and many other types of food are all great for barbeque gas grills. Not only can they save you the trouble of smelling up your kitchen when frying or cooking them inside, they can also give you the ability to cook more food at one time with a charbroiled open flame taste to it. Even better cleaning up BBQ gas grills can be a lot easier then cleaning a mess of three or four different pans and all of the grease splatter that lands on the stove from cooking inside.
Barbeque gas grills come in many different colors and styles to help you chose one that will look good and blend in to whatever type of theme you may have in your back yard. Some of the more popular styles that are on the market right now are the polish stainless steel look. The color looks like a very shinny silver almost shinny enough to see your reflection perfectly in. This style of grill became popular due to its sleek look and style. The stainless steel look on a grill can almost go with just about any type of theme you have in the back yard.
The stainless steel bbq grill cover is a little bit more expensive but in the end you are paying for the fact that they will last a lot longer and with stand a lot more weather hazards before they start to rust or discolor. They can even hold up to abuse a lot better and can tend to hide scratches a little more easily. So if you are planning on buying a Barbeque gas grill and you a planning on it lasting a long time then you defiantly should think about going with something that is stainless steel.
When thinking about buying a barbeque gas grill you may have a budget to think about. This is not a problem for there are many different sizes of grills with many different types of options. Not everybody is going to need a $1,500 grill just to cook out once a weekend for about four people. But if you are someone that cooks out a lot and you are usually cooking for a lot of people then they have grills that can suit some of your largest of needs. Depending on how much cooking you are planning on doing some grills even come with a burning on the side so that you can cook something in a pot like green beans or mashed potatoes.
When you are thinking about purchasing a barbeque gas grill or bbq grills parts, what you buy, how much you spend and how much it will cost you will really depend on your personal barbequing needs. My suggestion is to try not to go overboard, try to stay within your budget in within a size that is practical for your back yard and practical compared to what you cook and how much cook.

Popular Teeth Whitening Treatments
Posted on March 8th, 2010 No commentsLots of people want to have a great smile with shiny and sparkling bright teeth. To achieve it, they will spend a lot of money on teeth bleaching products. Teeth bleaching is just one of the few teeth whitening treatments.
Bleaching is an excellent teeth whitening treatment. It is the most broadly known treatments for whitening teeth because it is cheaper compared to laser treatment. The treatment is done without taking away any of the tooth surface.
Each of us has distinct tooth colour. Naturally, plenty of smokers have stained teeth.. But others are blessed with pearly white teeth.
Typically teeth bleaching is suited if you have discolored teeth like smokers and those who are eating but fail to brush properly. It is recommended that you seek an advice to a dental professional before applying these teeth whitening products.
Your dentist will tell you if it’s appropriate for you to undergo a teeth whitening treatment and will recommend it if you are. First the dentist will apply a gel or rubber shield on gums to ensure that the soft tissue will not be damaged. Then they will apply the bleaching product to the teeth by means of a tray which will fit the shape of your mouth. After this the dentist would just give you some instructions and you’ll continue the treatment at home.
The active ingredients of teeth whitening products such as carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide makes the teeth white. When the active ingredient starts to break, the oxygen goes inside the enamel of the teeth and then the tooth color made lighter. Treatments like this are usually done in three to four weeks.
There are new products that can be applied for eight hours at a time. You can perform the treatment when it is time for you to sleep. The result can be achieved for at least one week only.
You still have another option for whitening your teeth which is laser teeth whitening. In laser teeth whitening a rubber dam will be placed over the teeth so as to shield the gums from being damaged, and then a whitening product is applied to your teeth. A laser is used to trigger the chemical applied to the teeth. It boosts the chemical effect of the bleaching product by the way not the bleaching product that can be used as a hair remover so that the change of color can be achieved quickly.
The dentist needs to check your teeth to ensure that you’re suitable to undergo the treatment. It is the fastest procedure that may only take for about an hour.
The effects of bleaching teeth can last up to three years and may differ from one person to another. Of course if you keep on smoking and drink or eat products that can stain your teeth the effect is less likely to last long. During or after the treatment you’ll fell your teeth become sensitive to cold. But these symptoms are usually disappears within a few days after the treatment is done.
There are lots of whitening teeth products that are made available. These are effective in removing stain and enhance the entire appearance of your teeth but it would not affect the natural colour of your teeth. Once your teeth undergo a whitening treatment, a whitening paste can be helpful to make the effect last longer.
There are many ways to keep your teeth white. Try cutting down the amount of food that you eat or drink that causes a stain or discolouration of your teeth.
The kind of foods you want to eat are the ones you would consume if you were going after how to get ripped abs.
Also stop smoking and make a habit to brush your teeth three times a day to prevent staining or discoloring of your teeth.

What is the best way to find a new job?
Posted on March 8th, 2010 No commentsIf want to find a job in a different region of the country. What is the best way to go about finding a high level COO, VP, or General Manager job when searching outside your region?
The job boards like Monster and others don’t seem to work well.
I think you should use a recruiting firm such as Robert Half. Professional staffing firms can do alot of the leg work for you so you don’t have to spend time looking through postings, filling out applications, and sending in cover letters and resumes. Most job postings online don’t give you any idea about the culture or the salary for the position. I’ve preferred this method of finding a job because I can ask the recruiter questions that I wouldn’t ask an interviewer until I had an offer.
Also, some companies don’t post open positions to the public and exclusively use staffing firms. These firms get paid up to 30% of your base salary once you get hired so they’re willing to put in the time looking for something that will appeal to you.
I know of the Internet web sites for job searching but how do you get in contact with recruiters in those areas? I live in the north east of the United States. My wife and I are considering relocating to the south west.
When you are looking for a job out side of your current area? You can find out about school districts and other beneficial information that would help in relocating? Searching Plus, I’ve experienced many companies want to higher people that are local.
Moving people across country at the company expense is a rare event today, unless you are at a VP or higher level. Some industries do more frequently, such as IT.

Your Guide to Buying Genuine Breitling Watches
Posted on March 7th, 2010 No commentsFrom the moment you mention the words Breitling watches, you automatically think that they are going to be expensive and out of your price range. Well believe it or believe it not, second hand Breitling watches are no more expensive than a typical designer Gucci watch or a Tag Heuer watch, with the vast amount of second hand Breitling watches available in the market place today I’m sure the right one is out there waiting for you.
Prices are now very competitive and certainly affordable to most consumers with an average Breitling watch available for sale from as little as £350.00. The second hand market is now probably the best way to buy your first Breitling watch and you should be able to find the perfect watch for you.
Here are some tips to find your individual perfect “genuine” Breitling watch. When you think you have found your ideal Breitling, be it any of the Breitling Navitimer watches range or Breitling Emergency watches, or even the superb Breitling Bentley watches, before any commitment of offer to purchase, always ask a few very important questions and the answers should determine the authenticity of this watch. You’ll need to be 100% assured this is not a fake watch as there are many copied watches sold via the internet.
1. Has the Breitling watch in question have the original box & certificate? If so, the numbers from the watch will match the numbers on the certificate.
2. Was the watch purchased in the UK or from abroad? If it was purchased abroad, has the tax been paid? Was it declared through customs?
3. Check the company’s returns policy as some will state strictly no returns; Beware, there is always a reason for this and you should probably stay well clear.
4. Past experience means that some companies are reluctant to answer any question regarding a particular watch enquiry. Why is that you should ask?
5. Please remember there are as many fake watches on the internet for sale as there are real ones, and a lot of copied watches are also sold with fake boxes and fake paperwork! On a good note, there are a lot of genuine companies out there who are very reputable and established retail and online jewellers who offer a second to none service to their customers offering a full 100% no quibble full refund if not totally happy with the watch. These are the companies you need to be searching for to guarantee that your first Breitling watch is genuine. Check the website thoroughly, most have landline numbers clearly listed. If you see any that only list a mobile phone number then you should beware. Give them a call, speak to a real person, ask the questions above and this way you’ll get a real feel for the company. Good luck with your first Breitling watch purchase.

How To Avoid A Nervous Breakdown Having Your Website Built!
Posted on March 7th, 2010 No commentsIntroduction
When I decided I needed a website for my business I had no idea of the planning involved. Like most people, I thought web design meant deciding on the graphics and the look of the pages and then by some magic it would all happen.
I have a friend who is in the business of web design and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) so I approached him for a quote. As a complete novice who is computer literate up to a point, I was amazed at the depth of initial questioning required to find out exactly what my requirements were.I had no idea about the various aspects and the structure of the site and I found it mind blowing when I learned about the amount of work involved. So I thought other people would be interested to know more about this complicated process and I have asked my friend to supply the technical information for this article.
Stages in the Process
Target Audience
Before building a website there are important questions to consider. I was asked who would be my target audience. Who are my customers likely to be? Would they be children, businesses, home owners, sales people, parents or teenagers and so on?
The objective of the website
Then I was asked, what was the objective of my website? Did I want to sell products on line or use it to market my business and get more leads for possible customers? Maybe I would want to use it as an online brochure to showcase products. Another possibility was to use the website to foster a community so that I was in contact with other like-minded people, with chat rooms, online discussion and being supported by advertising on the site.
I hadn’t quite realised the scope of a website but as I was asked these questions it became clear that a lot of careful planning went into the preparation before building a website.
How to be Found on the Web
One of the first questions I was asked was, ‘Do you want it to be found by Google the main search engine?’ If I did then there was a whole process of establishing Keywords. So finding the best keywords are vital if you want to be found in Google. Generally most users only look at the first page of results so you will also want to promote your website to get on this page for your chosen keywords. By using a keyword research tool you can find the single most popular keyword for your industry.
Your Domain Name
Choosing a domain name is often quite a problem because every name you initially come up with will almost certainly have been taken. Domain names ending in .com are by far the most popular and internationally recognised; the snag is that it’s very popularity means that the majority of the shorter names have already been registered.
So looking at names with endings such as .net; .co.uk or .info may be able to provide you with the domain name you want.We were lucky with our damp course branded company domain name because we had taken advice about registering it a good few years ago and got one with the words damp coarse in it, which also happens to be really relevant to our business. When choosing your domain name it is very important to include one or more of your keywords if possible as this can apparently help with search engine rankings. So although the name of your business is the obvious choice for a domain name, it is not necessarily the only option.
Creating a Site Map
As with any project you must have a plan, the better the plan the better the project turns out. A site map for a web site is part of the plan for the site. The importance of creating a site map is to get it clear in your mind of all the pages you will have on your website so you can prepare the content for each page and begin to design the flow through the website, such as when a user adds a product to their basket, then enters their delivery and billing address and makes the credit card payment in the correct order.
The aim is to make the site as simple to use as possible so that there are no barriers to getting into the website. For that reason often user name and passwordz are set for the customer so that they are not put off making a purchase by having to register.
For a non e-commerce site things are simpler with a contact form which allows you to receive enquiries by email without publishing your email address on the website, thus avoiding spam.Web forms can also validate the information before you receive it, so ensuring that the phone number provided does not contain words, and that the email address is in the correct format, for example. These things may sound very technical to us lay-folk but I assure you everything has to be decided in advance before starting on the construction of the site.Copy
The next stage is preparing the content. This is not the design of your website - just the words and visuals you want to have one each of the pages.Having gathered all the above information you will need to decide what imagery you want to use within the website content. As we all know, a picture speaks a thousand words and remains in people’s memory far longer than just words. For each image you could also have a caption, as the caption of an image is the next ‘most read’ words on the page after the page title. Images and their captions need to be clickable. When you click on a picture it should take you to the next stage of the process such as the sale page or placing an enquiry if your website is for lead generation.
Navigation
Another important aspect when building a website is how you want your navigation to work. You can have links within the content of your website, in the text, so there are not just links from the menu. You will need to decide whether the links will open into a new window, retaining your original page open. Next time you go online, you will realise how much thought has gone into the way in which a website works.
Website Design
Finally we come to the design of your website. As everyone is different the creation of SEO artworks design visuals can be difficult because people have different tastes.
What one person might like, another person might not like. If you are setting up a website for yourself alone then you will probably have some idea of what you want to see on the site. But if, as so often happens, the website is for a large corporation there will be inputs from many people or departments and you can be sure that they will never all agree!
There are a number of ways to approach web design but ultimately you need to create a design brief for the designer(s) to work from. Look at other websites and your competitor’s websites to find out what you like or dislike. The design brief should give reference to the logo, any existing brand guidelines or schemes and fonts and colour schemes, and should also detail which pages of the website that the designer is being tasked with creating visuals for.
The very best results will be achieved by using a graphic designer, and beware - not all graphic designers are the same. A graphic designer who designs specifically for print is working in a different discipline than a graphic designer who designs for screen and specifically the web. So choose your designer carefully, look at other work that person has done and determine whether or not you like their style.
If you are working in the big time and budget allows, use multiple graphic designers who have all been given the same design brief and request three concept designs from each designer. If the client themselves also do a graphic design, even if it’s a back of the envelope scribble, you will then have 10 concept designs. The next step is to get them all together and select the preferred elements from each design. Then give the work to the selected graphic designer to work up as the final artwork.
The artwork should be finalised and agreed on by everybody before development of the site begins.
Production
Finally the preparation has been done and the site is ready to be constructed. Now for the more technical stuff! You will need to have decided which programming language to use to build the website. There are two main types for developing a website, one is Unix based, and the other is Windows based. Each one has pros and cons. If you are starting from scratch then it probably won’t matter, so you can go with the preference of your professional doing the work. My website is built on the Unix platform (apparently!) which is the same as many of the more well known websites such as Ebay, Facebook, Google and Amazon. Also your website hosting must be compatible with the development language with which your website is built.
Accessibility and Compliance
The website has to meet the current standards for website coding and doing so insures that disabled users, such as the visually impaired, can still access the entire website if they are using a Braille web browser.
Website Development
The best way to develop a website is on the web Server where the site is going to live. This way, those involved in reviewing the work can see work in progress and provide comments throughout the development.
Unforeseen items
There are always some things that arise in any project which you suddenly realise you have forgotten, so no matter how well the web designer prepares and asks the right questions, there will always be a last minute change or addition. The main aim is to minimise the number of glitches that might arise because they aren’t calculated in and they could cause extra costs and delays on the date of the site going live.
Going live
The moment of excitement comes when your site finally goes live and you see the results of all the thought that has gone into the whole process. We put in a lot of work collaborating on the website texts for our new website at http://cheesegraters.net with the design agency and when the site went live it was a real feeling of achievement.
Reporting and Monitoring
Once your website is up and running, you will want to know how many people visit your website and from that number how many actually buy the products or place an enquiry. From these statistics you can work out the ratio of hits to sales and gradually make changes to improve the ratios. There are some reliable statistics packages such as Google Analytics or Web-Stat.com which allow you to collect and review website visitor data in near real time. All you need to do this is to have a small block of code inserted into each web page on your site.
Another useful service that Web-stat.com provides is to monitor the website and warn you by email or text message if the site is not reachable. Google Analytics doesn’t yet provide a comparable uptime monitoring service, maybe they just decided it was too much of a headache as it is an intensive service checking a website every 5 minutes to make sure it is still responding and indeed web-stat do promote this difference as one of their unique selling points but it is pretty hard to compete with free. In fact Google Analytics is not quite free, which makes it an even better marketing decision for Google because sometimes it is harder to give things away for free than it is to sell them! Google Analytics is a free service available to Google AdWords advertisers, you don’t actually have to have any AdWords campaigns running but it will cost you a one-time activation fee of £5 (or similar in your local currency) to open your AdWords account, but once you have done that you can go on to use Google Analytics for as many websites as you like.
Marketing
Once the website is live there are lots of things you can do to market your product or service. The first step is to submit it to the search engines and at the same time write articles, and press releases. Getting links to the site from forums, blogs and other social networking spaces are other options. For more on this subject ask your designer about SEO
Conclusion
Wheww. What an amazing amount of work! I hadn’t realised when I started the process of getting a website up and running, how complicated it all is and how many factors you have to consider before even designing the website. The word web design is really a misnomer, as people often think it’s just about the graphic design on the home page, and the branding of the product. Unless you are a computer buff, most people have no idea how much goes into designing and building a website and the systems that support the work you want it to do. I hope that this article will give readers an understanding and insight into the whole process of website development from start to finish.
